OOTD | Stress Less Dressing

Have you ever stopped and thought about how much time we 'waste' getting ready? A few months back I decided to declutter my life. Things that haven't been touched in over 6 months, had to go. Not only do I have a clear space now, but it means less choice and less time wasting. When Mark Zuckerberg was asked about his minimal wardrobe he replied, “I really want to clear my life to make it so that I have to make as few decisions as possible about anything except how to best serve the community,” It's definitely a bit extreme to ditch everything down to one or two outfits, right?! Especially if you're an expressive person, but doesn't it make sense? It's clearly a common problem for the modern woman, I saw the same issue being addressed under Gok Wan's watch not so long ago. Add on the time we spend painting, primping and preening ourselves too. Someone once gave me some great advice that I stick to every time I shop. If you don't already have something to wear it with, like the whole outfit, don't buy it. Seriously. It seems obvious, but if you can't wear it right now, are you really ever going to? I threw away so much money on things that just went straight to the back of the wardrobe. Cutting back in areas where we frivolously throw away time & money, makes such a substantial difference for the important aspects of our lives. Now I'm almost at a place where everything matches, which makes getting ready in the mornings, just that little bit smoother... but honesty, I'm still probably going to be late! Do you have shopping codes you stick by? Or are you an outlaw?
