Tramshed: Sugar Hill Gang Gig

23:54:00

Sugar Hill Gang, like seriously how does nobody know who they are?! And I don't mean this in some hipster, "oh my god, you seriously don't know who they are?" kind of way. Just Apache, jump on it! That's all I'm going to say. You hear the song, you'll know the music. Classic old school hip hop, funky and fresh. They nailed the hits and the crowd loved it. The venue? Most people have heard of it by now, having opened last November there's been a lot of buzz about this venue! There's more than meets the eye as an events hall, the indie take over of literally the old Tramshed is a really unique setting. Behind the railway, the grade 2 listed building is adorned with fairy lights and bustling with people. Unlike most night venues, it's not bursting to the seems. Fitting over 1000 people the spacious and relaxed atmosphere is very desirable. Or in other words, just awesome. I'm being a little biased here maybe? Haha.

I'd like to announce that I'm actually working at the Tramshed! I've always loved hospitality and am really excited to be part of the team and involved in such an awesome concept! They're building quite a community down there. With some incredible ideas flying around. So as a new member of staff, I was privy to their guestlist! Guestlist +5 for Sugar Hill Gang? Yes please, I'm straight on that. I invited my gang and couldn't wait to hip hop, and you don't stop, a rock it, to the bang bang boogie, say up jump the boogie, to the rhythm of the boogie, the beat.
They absolutely smashed it and Grandmaster flash & the furious 5 killed it too. The crowed we're awesome, everyone got into the gig and the vibe was awesome. We got some old hip-hop and a kicking set with some great tunes after too.
