Miss Wales Photo Shoot & Biography!

So yesterday I had a photo shoot for my Miss Wales head shots! It was a lot of fun to glam up and take some photos. Felt like a real life model eeek. Then I wrote up my biography blog for the Miss Wales website! It's official, we're live and online! You can now vote for your favourite contestant, which will be announced at the charity ball before the final in April! I've added my bio here for you to have a read and below are the T&Cs for voting. If you'd like to vote me for the public choice send in your text! I'm forever grateful for all the support and kind words so far, you guys are awesome!
Lots of love,
Erica xx

Hello! My name is Erica, and I grew up in the small village of Tongwynlais, Cardiff. Growing up I explored all things that interested me from music to dance and eventually fell in love with cooking; I once cooked on Blue Peter! Later in life, I fell into depression. After several years I endeavoured to recover, help others and eliminate the stigma associated with mental health. With two friends, we co-founded a charity "Shake It Off", creating a community for people suffering to socialise and dance together. I find my strength, determination and inspiration from the strong women in my life. With the support of my family, I was able to overcome adversity. Now, 24 years old, I'm continuing my studies at Cardiff University to become an Optician! After I finish optometry school, I plan to pursue my passion for enterprise and restart "Shake It Off". Through the tremendous reach of the Miss Wales platform, my aim is to facilitate those with mental health difficulties in regaining their confidence and surpassing their goals.

"If you never try, you'll never know. Go and keep on going!"
